​Storytelling with Queen Nur

Family, Fun & Folklife Workshops
2016 Theme: The Art of Self

Students learn the oral and performance skills of storytelling, including how to engage audiences in call and response. Highly interactive workshops filled with family and community values.  Students will perform at the Willingboro Kwanzaa Festival.  Ages 9 to 14.

Special Event Tea, Dollmaking, Tea Ceremony and Storytelling on September 16. Beginning at 1:00.  Scharynne of Designs by Scharynne will be our Doll Artist. Queen Nur will tell Stories.   All ages welcome. Children bring their favorite doll and make their doll a friend.  REGISTER HERE for a splendid Saturday Afternoon Social.

Learn how to match blocks to make into one big block. Creating a twenty-block quilt.  Also, create an African Doll Wall hanging quilt. Share stories of becoming twenty and the power of the next generation. For novice and advance quilters. Sewing Machine recommended. Exhibit at Willingboro Kwanzaa Festival (Intergenerational)
